Praveen Shrivastava (President)

Mr. Praveen Shrivastava, a renowned member of CSIC, moved to Canada in the early 1980s as an entrepreneur. He initially worked with small to medium scale businesses to provide financial & management consultation, venture financing and technology transfers. Mr. Shrivastava holds an M.B.A degree from the University of Massachusetts, and B.Sc. from India. After completing his M.B.A. he worked in Switzerland and gained the confidence and trust of various reputable Swiss Banking Institutions, which later resulted in many requesting him to assist and represent them to relocate to Canada. As a result of this, in 1995, he established Worldwide Relocation Services Inc. and started to offer immigration services which eventually over took all his other businesses. In last 15 years this company has brought over 3000 people to Canada. His specialty is in working with refused cases and bringing them to successful conclusions. After joining the growing industry, Mr. Shrivastava immediately recognized the need for regulations to not only protect clients but to protect the integrity of the profession. Thus, he got involved with the Organization of Professional Immigration Consultants (OPIC) as a member and as an executive with the Association of Immigration Counsel of Canada (AICC). He was a key figure in helping these two organizations unite to form today’s Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC). He has been actively involved in creating a self regulatory body initially known as the College of Immigration Practitioners, which eventually evolved in to a regulatory body now known as The Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants (CSIC). Mr. Shrivastava is widely regarded as an industry innovator and was actively involved in creating the UBC Immigration Practitioners Course with Seneca College, Toronto and he currently sits on the advisory board of Ashton College, BC.
